Greetings!

One of the key things the enemy would like us to misunderstand is who we are in Jesus, the Christ (II Cor. 13:5, Eph. 1:11-14). He wants us to lose track of our true identity, of our position in relationship to the Almighty Father, God. Should we not understand our position, our power and authority we may easily begin to feel at a loss to make a difference in the situations that are happening in our own lives or the lives of those we love.

(Da. 4:31, Mt. 10:1, 28:18-20) (IICo. 4 & 10:4&5, Lk. 9:1, Jn. 13:3, Acts 1:18, II Ti. 1:7)

Do you know who you are? You are a princess! You are the daughter of the Most High God (Eph. 1:3-14). He has adopted you. He as chosen YOU. Even Jesus has said that he is not ashamed to call you his sister. Even though I know it is truth, I sometimes am numb, awed and amazed; can you comprehend this? The very one who gave his life for you and I; the very one who was with out fault, without sin is NOT ashamed to call us his sisters (Heb. 2:11).

Maybe you've been a much better person than I have. I plead guilty for my thoughts and actions, which have not always been honorable. Even when I think I'm Ok and doing good things, I'm reminded of what Isaiah said, that all my righteous acts are like filthy rags (Isa. 64:6). Then, through prayer I need to sort out my responses and motives. My PaPa God if faithful to show me where I stand. When I need to seek forgiveness I do it quickly knowing that I will be forgiven. Then PaPa and I are free to move on.

God sees something different when he looks at you and I. When I look in the mirror I see me with all of the faults and flaws of which I am aware (not mentioning the ones I've conned myself into not seeing). But God looks through the shed blood of Jesus and sees something beautiful. He sees you and me as spotless. We're promised that when we seek forgiveness of our sins that he is faithful and just to forgive us. So we are clean and free.

We are partakers, we heirs. We have inherited everything. We share this inheritance. We share it now. As God's children we have the power and authority now. We are not helpless over situations nor should we be discouraged when things look mixed up, out order or even like a real mess. We have the right to run to our Father in prayer, sharing with him our concerns, our needs and our desires. We have the power to turn those situations and people over to God. We have the wisdom to know that our enemy is no match for our Dad!

We are responsible to use this power and authority wisely. We are responsible to be on God's side and not try to convince God to be on our side. He uses all situations for the good of those who are called, according to his purpose, in Christ Jesus (Ro. 8:28). It is His purpose, not ours. His perfect will not ours. We may never know his purpose and we may guess at his perfect will, but we can't bend his will or redirect his purpose. We must be willing to seek his perfect will and his purpose and then yield to it. We must being willing to give up our agenda for his.

I am planning to continue this theme of being part of God's family next month. November is the month of remembering. A time of remembering to count our blessings, to give thanks to our creator and sustainer, to appreciate our family and friends, our ancestors and those who have traveled the road before us.

Sincerely,

Kathy D.

Don't just take what I'm saying for granted. Search the scriptures, then let me know if you agree or disagree. Would you like other Scriptural references? How do you feel about this message? Is there something here that you haven't heard before that you may wish to challenge, question or know more about? God is the authority, I am not. We can search his word together.
