Why the name "Be Simply Women"?
We are each a woman able to do only as much as we can within the limits of our abilities, gifts and time. Not one of us is able to accomplish everything that life and other people may wish to require of us. That doesn't mean that we have fallen short or failed, it simply means that we are human.
Relationships with other women are important:
That we may see strengths in each other.
Be encouraged to draw from the strength of another to get through experiences that we must face.
Be reminded by those that are there - are there for us to stop and breathe.
Be reminded that God is with us and holding us up.
Be reminded that the Holy Spirit is there for us and within us just as Jesus promised.
There are times that these reminders are so necessary because we can become so absorbed in our own lives and experiences that we are unaware that we haven't stopped to breathe.
Our narrowed thinking and vision can become toxic, can in a sense poison our understanding and destroy our hope.
Alone, I have only myself to draw from and that most certainly leaves me quite limited.
Many experiences of my life's experiences would have been impossible to endure without the encouragement of others. And the joy and delight of the fantastic experiences were only multiplied when I shared them with others.
Life is a journey.
That may sound trite but it is true. There are things that happen along a journey that are pleasant, fun even beautiful and enlightening - just as there are things that are disappointing, perhaps discouraging and even nightmarish.
When we try to live those experiences alone even the positive ones may leave us feeling empty. The negative experiences may even leave us feeling paralyzed at worst.
The purpose of sharing this site is that we may share with one another those positive things as well as the negative that as women we can come together and encourage one another on our walk or journey. Perhaps laugh with one another, but never at another; cry with one another - because in empathy we each can fine strength and courage. I would encourage you to share your journey with us, reaching out beyond yourself can be a frightening thing but you will be met with love and not rejection.
